In order to survive Democratic Socialism it is necessary to understand in essence the “Left Thought”.

Left politics tends
– if not effectively opposed –
to forms of real Socialism
(keep in mind that we do not speak of cases such as that of the Soviet Union or Cuba: in Europe there are cases of real Socialism disguised as Democracy, such as Greece and Italy).
This happens for several reasons:
● even in the more moderate form, the Left Ideology is based on an ideal that must be realized “regardless” (Ideology means own submission to an idea: no matter what actually happens in reality, what means are used, what are the results I get; the basic idea is “right”, and therefore in ideology the task is to keep on fighting for the “just cause”).
The basic idea of the people of the Left is that a strong injustice is applied to them, and therefore it is their right to rebel against this injustice (in their way of seeing, it is always an “emergency” that cannot be contrasted with regular tools: their position of moral correctness justifies the use of “extraordinary means” – one of their Principles is “the end justifies the means”).
● the problem is that from an even brief application of the political doctrine of the Left, problems arise at an institutional level (problems such as impoverishment of citizens, chaos in services, etc.).
At that point, it is easier for Left-wing politicians to pose as those who solve the problems created by themselves
(the critical conditions of Society are a goal of the Left’s action, since it can leverage people to push them to join their cause of rebellion, of overthrowing the Institutions of Democracy).
.
It is therefore crucial to realize that
there is no form of Left Politics which,
if applied for some time,
does not lead to real Socialism.
