Like every aspect of business, production/distribution also changes in a disruptive way. In other words, we move to a new modality that represents a disruption for the paradigm of current production and distribution.
The most significant aspect of this change is probably the abandonment of the method (and mindset) of centralized production, and of top-down decisions (from the Parent Company).
In the new dimension there is a disruptive innovation in: organizational methods, the tools used, the size of the players, etc.
The new dimension of diffused production represents an innovation of the type of Transplant production: the Parent Company supplies the product project to local producers (the “file” and remote assistance), and probably some parts of it (see the Franchising Production “New Production / Distribution methods: Franchising-Transplant Factories”>).
.
A disruptive product must therefore
be set up to be produced
in Makers/Proximiity Business mode (Productions n franchising).
More specifically, the following must be envisaged:
● production by “file”, low level of skills (the product must easily be produced with a transfer of skills that come from traditional processes). See Manufacturing 4.0 (beyond the Industry 4.0 concept, which actually introduces an obsolete Sustaining innovation approach) in the article < The misunderstanding on Industry 4.0: towards Manufacturing 4.0 >
● easy modifiability of the product for product “localization”: product must therefore be highly customizable (modular, Open Design, etc. .. …).
