The following video captures Yale Professor Nicholas Christakis standing up for free speech rights in the face of a student who believes Halloween costumes can be culturally insensitive. It demonstrates everything that is wrong on liberal college campuses today.
Last month, overly coddled college students sent out an e-mail telling others not to wear costumes that could be deemed offensive. Christakis’ wife, a lecturer at Yale, dared to challenge the politically correct students, responding in an e-mail that she was concerned the university was becoming a place “of censure and prohibition.”
Predictably, the liberal darlings held a protest, and when Professor Christakis defended his wife’s comments to a hostile group of students, things got out of control.

Her husband, Silliman College Master Nicholas Christakis, defended his wife’s comments to the gathering of about 100 students, when crowd members grilled him for an apology.
“I apologize for causing pain,” Christakis told the crowd, “but I am not sorry for the statement. I stand behind free speech. I defend the right for people to speak their minds.”
A student then attacked Christakis personally, calling him “disgusting” and a “poor steward of this community.”
“As your position as Master, it is your job to create a place of comfort and home for the students that live in Silliman,” the student said. “You have not done that. By sending out that email, that goes against your position as Master. Do you understand that?”
Many students are demanding both Christakis and his wife resign.
It is absolutely unfathomable that the person you are seeing in the video could qualify to attend a pre-school, let alone an Ivy League college. She is clearly an emotionally underdeveloped child, who is frustrated to learn that not everybody in the world shares her viewpoint and can thus only respond with a foot-stomping tantrum.

The professor stands for free speech, while the student gives free speech a bad name. Liberal college campuses across the nation are reaping what they sow, having sheltered their precious students from reality for so long. This is the end result.
